The Wayne State Figure Skating Team represents Wayne State University as a club sport while serving as a U.S. Figure Skating Intercollegiate Team!
Our season runs from the end of September through March, and we attend three competitions hosted by the U.S. Figure Skating intermural Intercollegiate League.
To join our team you must maintain a 2.2 GPA as a current WSU student and hold an active membership with the U.S. Figure Skating Association. We also require payments of monthly dues, contributing to team practice and events. Athletes of all skating abilities are welcome, as intercollegiate competitions host events for all levels.
When we are not practicing or competing, we will host several show events throughout the season. Our practices operate in the Buffalo Wild Wings Arena in Troy, MI. As a team, we like to have dinners, gift exchanges, games, and other fun bonding activities. At the end of each season, we have a banquet to thank our coach and celebrate our achievements, each other, and all of our hard work throughout the season.
