Short and sweet answer: YES. We do understand skates are expensive, however that comes with the expense of the sport. Having ice skates is CRUCIAL . It doesn't matter the brand, but we do ask you purchase FIGURE skates not hockey. 

While we'd hate for you to leave, yes you can leave our club at any time; HOWEVER, once you join our team and club you are responsible for all costs. You made a commitment to our team; you must pay our monthly membership for the remaining time. (Refer to our constitution for any confusion)

For competitions that are local, yes you must come to support the team even if you aren't competing. Distance competitions we'd love the support, but it's understandable if you don't attend. (If you aren't competing) Practices are MANDATORY! At the end of the day the practices are to help better your skills and get to know your teammates. We all share the ice for about an hour. (which isn't very much time) Of course we understand sickness, personal/life problems, emergency issues, and religious affiliations that can interfere with attendance. We simply ask you communicate ahead of time. (if you can)
